WHY HAS MY DOCTOR REFERRED ME TO CLARITY? Your doctor understands the importance of maintaining both your physical and emotional health. In medical and surgical treatments, you may experience anxiety and stress related to your care that could interfere with your recovery. Your provider wants to optimize your care and believes that with our support, you will have the best possible mental wellness.
WHAT IS A BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENT? A behavioral assessment is an interview conducted by a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner trained in mental health. The online psychological assessment typically involves the completion of a structured questionnaire, a review of your medical records, and a discussion of any existing medical or mental health issues that may interfere with your mental wellness.
WHAT IS TELEHEALTH? Telehealth is a secure, convenient, and extremely accessible way to see a mental health clinician from the comfort of your own home. All visits with Clarity use a secure, encrypted platform that is HIPAA compliant.
I'M NOT TECH-SAVY, IS TELEHEALTH COMPLICATED? Don’t worry, our telehealth process is extremely easy and will be explained to every patient prior to scheduling. Your visits should be stress-free. If you were to come across any issues, you can reach out to our scheduling team for assistance. We are here to assist with every Clarity appointment.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN SCHEDULING? When a Clarity navigator calls you for scheduling, the entire process and all relevant details will be explained to you. On this call, you will learn about how our telehealth services work, your insurance coverage, and how to reach out for assistance.
WILL I NEED TO FILL OUT PAPERWORK? You will be asked to fill out our online form, which is entirely digital. On the form, you will be asked to provide personal information, answer health history questions, acknowledge policies, and put a payment method on file to cover your appointment cost (if applicable). The information you provide will help us put together a personalized plan for your care and make the most of your time with your care provider.
HOW MUCH WILL MY APPOINTMENT COST? We accept many commercial insurance plans and Medicare. Our patients are often covered by their insurance for most or all of their Clarity healthcare fees. Your financial responsibility, if any, will be discussed with you prior to scheduling.
WHAT KIND OF CLINICIAN WILL I SEE? This depends on your needs. Our clinical team consists of mental health experts including doctors, nurse practitioners and psychotherapists (often licensed clinical social workers). All teams are supervised by a medical doctor.
DOES CLARITY PRESCRIBE MEDICATIONS? Our doctors and nurse practitioners have the authority to prescribe medications and can send prescriptions, usually electronically, to your local pharmacy of choice.
HOW MANY VISITS WILL I HAVE AT CLARITY? It depends on if you are referred by your doctor or surgeon for assessment only or continuing psychological care.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY? There is a strict 48-hour cancellation/no-show policy. Patients will be charged a $125 fee if they fail to cancel or reschedule their appointment at least 48 hours prior to their appointment OR are absent from their appointment.
